Rules from start to finish, though the back half is notably strong in general. Not sure why I wasn’t as impressed my first go around. Not Spielbergs biggest fan, or hater, but this is easily his best I’ve seen.

Wasn’t particularly interested in seeing this, but it got my brother to watch a movie with us so I can’t really complain. Hit just about every beat I was expecting, both good and bad, and had some delightfully unhinged performances at points. Nothing much to report on directing-wise. Gave me some surprisingly deep laughs. Odd to note that everyone is shallow in this film, both those stereotypically portrayed in media and out. Call it brother magic but this was okay on the whole.

They should stop making books I wanna read so long (250 pages) so I can read more. Grrr
