Grand Media Log: Day 38
Yellow Cab
Chaboute, based on a novel by Benoit Cohen
Comic
While Chaboute is a talented artist I’m not sure why he’s seemingly revered when he keeps picking these bland stories to tell. His most celebrated work, I think, Alone was fine and beautifully rendered but at its core it missed the spark that drives truly great comics.
Played games mostly today, outside of the soul-crushing tedium of job searching. Also started The Light Fantastic, Discworld number two which is at least thus far stronger than the previous. Kinda funny to go from three(four?) double filmer days in a row to none but that’s how it goes.
